Marvelous Me!
Marvelous Me is a superhero. We read the story this morning and discovered that we can all be superheroes. Awesome Kyle can lift a medicine ball and throw it to the other side of the world. Marvelous Kelly can do awesome art. Awesome Piper walks her cousin's superdog around the street. Incredible Ina is a sensational speller! Our world is awesome! Come to visit us in wonderful Room 16, to meet all the superhero children!

Room Sixteen 2011
We are the new Room 16. We have been doing lots of work like maths, art and reading. We have been learning to make a friend. Some ways of doing this are by being nice or by being kind. Sharing and caring for other people is important to us. We are all very helpful.
Felix is looking forward to the cross country. Mervyn is excited about going on trips. Jorja is happy to have her own desk and is hoping she can keep it tidy. Bridget likes art and wants to do heaps of it! Sai enjoys ICT and Ryan H likes the library.
We hope you enjoy following our adventures this year!

No More Feet!
Today is Wheels Day! We got to bring remote control cars, scooters, bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, prams, hot wheels and heelies to school. We were lucky and were the first year group to go outside to enjoy our wheels!
Later Room 16 designed a bike or scooter for the future.

Wheels Day rocks! (Oops, we mean, rolls!)
Art Exhibition
Room 16 made beautiful bird cushions. They are colourful, bright and cool.
We drew sketches of all the parts of the birds and chose our favourite sketch. We copied it onto a big piece of paper and then dyed it.
The next day we drew the real sketch, put it underneath the fabric and copied it. We painted the fabric with textile ink and left it to dry.
We also did the back of the cushion with our name.
When they were sewn together, we were able to display them in the school art exhibition. Don't they look great?!

Jelly Crystals
We made green jelly with chocolate frogs in them. It was called Frog in the Pond.
We opened the jelly crystal pack, then poured the jelly crystals into a bowl. Then we poured hot water in the bowl. Next, we mixed the jelly crystals with the hot water. We got a cup to pour the jelly into our plastic cups. Then we let the hot water in the jelly cool down.
We put the unset jelly in the fridge to cool some more.
At the end of the day we ate it. It was yum!

Treading Tuesday
Today Room 16 and Room 4 were invited to a Treading Tuesday feast. This was because we are the class that had the most people walk to school on Tuesdays during Term Three. We had morning tea, quizzes, games like traffic light and a certificate plus heaps of pens and rubbers. We had awesome fun!
